Purnea University Degree Part 1 Admission 2021

A student may be admitted to the course of instructions for the degree of Bachelor of Arts (General/Honours) if he has passed the Intermediate examination of a Board/University established or incorporated by law or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

Provided that for admission to the course of instructions for the Honours degree in any subject it shall be necessary for a student to have obtained not less than 45% marks at the Intermediate examination in the subject concerned with second division class (45%).

Provided further that a student shall be eligible for admission to the honours course in any subject even though he has not studied the subject concerned at the Intermediate stage if he has passed the Intermediate examination in Science or Commerce with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.

1. Mathematics or Statistics unless he has passed the Intermediate exam in Mathematics.
2. Geography unless he has passed the Intermediate exam in Geography.
3. Science Student may be taken subject of Psychology, Music, and Home Science.

A student may be admitted to the course of instructions for the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (General) if he has passed the Intermediate examination in Commerce of a Board/University established or incorporated by law, or any other examination in Commerce of a Board/University established or incorporated by law or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

Provided that a student who has passed the Intermediate examination in Arts or Science shall also be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (General) Course if he has obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate at the I.A. or I.Sc. Examination.

A student may be admitted to the course of instructions for the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) if he has passed the Intermediate examination in Commerce of Board/University established or incorporated by law or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto obtaining not less than 45% marks in the Commerce subjects/group of subjects.

A student may be admitted to the course of instructions for the degree of Bachelor of Science (General/Honours) if he has passed the Intermediate examination in Science of a Board/University established or incorporated by Law, or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

Provide that for admission to the course of instructions for the Honours degree it shall be necessary for a student to have obtained not less than 45% marks at the Intermediate examination in the subject offered for Honours study with second division class (45%).

1. Mathematics or Statistics unless he has passed the I.Sc. Exam Math.
2. Physics unless he has passed I.Sc. in Physics in Math.
3. Chemistry unless he has passed the I.Sc Exam in Chemistry.
4. Botany/Zoology/Geology unless he has passed the I.Sc. Exam in Biology/Geology unless he has passed.

• I.Sc./I.A./I.Com/Equivalent Examination with Minimum 45 % marks

• I.Sc. with Mathematics with minimum 45% marks.
• I.Sc. Biology with Mathematics as extra subject with minimum 45% marks
• I.Com. with minimum 45% marks.
• I.A. with Economics with minimum 45% marks

• I.Sc./I.A./I.Com./Equivalent Examination with minimum 45% marks.

• I.Sc./Equivalent Examination with Biology with minimum 45% marks.
